Wednesday April 21, 2010 Join Amy Osaki (of Walking Softly Adventures) and Pam Davis (of Willamette International Travel) in Portland, Oregon for a day trip by train to Tacoma, Washington, birthplace of internationally renowned glass artist Dale Chihuly. Leave Portland on the morning train; snacks on board the train will be provided. Upon arrival in Tacoma, enjoy visits to the Museum of Glass, Chihuly’s Bridge of Glass, and the Tacoma Art Museum. The William Travers Gallery and three private collections of Chihuly’s masterpieces will immerse you in this spectacular art. If time permits, you'll also visit the Washington State Historical Society whose collection of Native American baskets inspired Chihuly’s basket series. |
